Gallery Grounds invites artists to submit work for the upcoming exhibition ELEMENTS OF UNITY, exploring the universal symbolic language shared across world faith traditions through contemporary art. The exhibition focuses on five themes present across diverse cultures and religions: Light, Water, Breath, Tree, and Journey.

CATEGORIES

 

1) LIGHT – Divine Illumination

Themes: enlightenment, sacred light, revelation.

Accepts: light installations, digital works, glass/vitrail-inspired pieces, shadow art, photography, sculpture.

2) WATER – Sacred Water

Themes: purification rituals, baptism, ablution, renewal.

Accepts: video, sound, water-based metaphors, ritual-inspired works, performance.

3) BREATH – Breath of the Sacred

Themes: Ruah, Pneuma, Prana, spirit, prayer, mantra.

Accepts: sound art, performance, breath-based conceptual works, text–sound pieces.

4) TREE – Tree of Life

Themes: origins, creation narratives, ancestry, life cycles.

Accepts: sculpture, textile, fibre art, organic materials, installation.

5) JOURNEY – The Sacred Journey

Themes: pilgrimage, rites of passage, spiritual transitions, movement.

Accepts: photography, video, map/route-focused works, installation, performance.

 

TIMELINE

Application Deadline: 5 January 2026

Results Announced: 10 January 2026

Opening: 30 January 2026

Closing: 16 February 2026

 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Please submit a single PDF containing:

- Artist name & short bio (max. 150 words)

- Selected category (Light / Water / Breath / Tree / Journey)

- Images of the work OR project proposal

- Work description (max. 200 words)

- Dimensions, technique, materials

- Installation notes (if applicable)

ARTIST FEE

Selected artists will receive an individual artist fee offer after acceptance. Fees are not listed at the open call stage, in line with international practice.
