Elements of Unity is a citywide cultural and arts project led by Gallery Grounds CIC, timed to coincide with World Interfaith Harmony Week (1–7 February 2026). It explores shared values of compassion, peace and respect through five universal metaphors found across faith traditions: Light, Water, Breath, Tree and Journey.

Five artists, each selected by the gallery curator, will respond to one theme and present newly commissioned work in a public exhibition. Development will take place in active dialogue with all faith communities in the city—as well as people of no religion—through conversations, workshops and open studio sessions. Co-creation is central: content is shaped with participants rather than about them.

The project is important because it creates inclusive civic space, fosters empathy across difference, and provides fair, visible opportunities for early-career artists. The exhibition will be accompanied by public talks, relaxed sessions and accessible materials. A digital capsule will document process and impact so other groups can adapt the model beyond the project timeline.
